Adobe Reseller Program
Situation & Solution:
Adobe asked Cintara to develop an eye-catching, well-organized, easy-to-use set of reseller and merchandising tools to help educate their worldwide channel. We started by speaking with several of their top channel partners to get some front-line insights on what tools they wanted and what tools served their needs best. The end result was not only effective, but saved Adobe marketing dollars on unwanted tools.
Agilent HR, Standards of Business Conduct Brochure
Situation & Solution:
Agilent needed a brochure to effectively communicates the values, integrity, behavioral guidelines, and proper business etiquette to be followed by all Agilent employees and contractors worldwide. Cintara designed a well-organized, concise brochure that conveyed pertinent information for use in diverse countries. We incorporated the look and feel of the corporate image in a fresh way, and used photos with a mix of gender and ethnic origins to instill a sense of pride, and convey the international scope of the company. Cintara managed the translation of the brochure into 14 languages and coordinated with international teams to ensure that the tone and messages would be accurate and appropriate.
America Italiana Company Launch
Situation & Solution:
America Italiana was coming to the US market and bringing a history of excellence from their home country of Italy. Our objective was to adjust the brand image to appeal to architects, builders, designers of custom homes. Cintara worked with America Italiana to complete their refreshed identity, stationery system, literature, advertising and website. The resulting work helped to expand their brand awareness throughout California and the West Coast as their primary target region.
Amtrak NorCal Corridor Proposal
Situation & Solution:
Amtrak was competing for a major contract with the Northern California corridor service. They asked Cintara to help them develop a proposal the would blow the competition away. The end result was an impressive document that contained all the nuts of bolts of their detailed proposal requests, combined with a compelling brand story of Amtrak. The proposal was laced with stunning photography taken on the NorCal routes to provide the visual perspective of their capabilities. It worked — Amtrak won a $500MM contract.
Brightmail Company and Product Revitalization
Situation & Solution:
Brightmail asked Cintara to revitalize their existing company image and marketing materials to give them a more credible image. They were on the verge of technology advancement in their sector and wanted to accelerate sales to Fortune 500 companies. We started by holding branding workshops with their management team to identify core personality traits, differentiation, positioning and key messages. From there we refreshed the Brightmail identity and style guide, designed new collateral and packaging, new lobby design ad signage. The result – landed 5 top customers within 3 months and was acquired by Symantec 1 year later for $370MM.
Brighton Book Design
Situation & Solution:
Brighton’s creator had a vision for her book and asked Cintara to assist in making her vision a reality. She armed us with a touching story and animation-caliber illustrations. We went to work and designed a book that captures the imagination of Brighton’s epic journey to shine.
Centric Innovation Packaging
Situation & Solution:
Centric Innovation designs software systems for product development collaboration and wanted a classy package that would contain manuals and other documents that users would require in learning the application. Cintara designed a dramatic black background and integrated their corporate color palette for a finishing touch.
Diamond Peak Brochure
Situation & Solution:
Ski Incline had been losing customers to other ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area. They had invested in expanding the resort to include more runs, challenging slopes and hospitality services. In spite of the improvements, they were still viewed as a little and old. Cintara worked to turn this perception around with a clean, fresh image that would appeal to a family audience. A modern logo combined with colorful photos easily depicted the new offerings and expansion, and the multi-purpose brochure made it an economical solution. Diamond Peak is now considered one of the major resorts in the Lake Tahoe resort scene.
Water Pals Packaging Refresh
Situation & Solution:
Finis wanted to improve their packaging of children’s flotation devices for large retailers. Cintara started by asking mom’s of toddlers what they look for in a flotation device and likes and dislikes about the package. By incorporating their input we designed a clear plastic reusable pouch with easy sizing for moms, and fun friendly water characters for kids.
Iomega Merchandising Refresh
Situation & Solution:
Storage products are now commodities and consumers have a range of choices that make the purchasing decision more elusive. As the leader in storage products, Iomega wanted to hold a strong market position in spite of lagging sales. New technologies were making older solutions obsolete. With inventory still on the shelf, Iomega needed to communicate that it had the broadest range of storage solutions on the market and remind the consumer that it was the most trusted brand. Cintara developed a “destination storage” concept, designed a new merchandising system that would consolidate all of Iomega’s products in one area of the store. What had been confusing and spec-driven messages in the past became simple benefit-focused messages.
Logitech Icons and User Interface
Situation & Solution:
To keep their products on the leading edge, Logitech expanded their product features on the QuickCam and DualCam products and new icons and an interface were needed. Cintara developed a series of splash pages, animations, and icons to compliment the existing interface. In addition, we designed icons for their Brew developer’s platform to use with their operating system for wireless devices.

Ranger Portfolio Brochure
Situation & Solution:
Ranger Construction is a commercial builder that makes magic happen with their projects, but lacked an effective marketing tool to help them attract new business. It had to be impressive, clean, flexible, and bold. We let their good work tell the story using impressive photography of their projects from multiple angles. Clean design that focused on the work. Flexible with brass nuts and bolts for binding so they can add new projects. A bold cover that suggests “let’s build something”. Ranger is reaping the rewards of their new brochure and continue to land new business and add new projects to the flexible portfolio.
Sensara Resort Brand Marketing
Situation & Solution:
Two successful developers, Grupo Suite Spain and EuroSeniors, were embarking on building a new luxury resort in Southern Spain. They wanted to target the well-heeled
seniors of N. Europe and were looking for a brand image and integrated
marketing that would position the new facility effectively to an active retirement-age
buyer. Cintara got to work providing naming, identity, style guides, collateral, advertising, and website. We created a brand name and image that appealed to sophisticated seniors and reflected the perfect balance of luxury and casual comfort. The identity captured the essence of the brand’s festive personality. The plan worked. Sensara achieved the desired sales goals of 100% units sold within 1 year of launch.
SVP Residential Rebates Brochure
Situation & Solution:
Most American’s are in the dark when it comes to saving energy. Turning off a light when leaving the room is a start, but getting residents to change their behaviors and attitudes about energy efficiency is SVP’s mission. The small-format, annual brochure helps SVP to engage and educate their customers on ways to save energy, and save money with wide variety of rebates. Local kids and SVP employees turn into The Kilowatt Kids and are used throughout. Within 6 months of receiving the brochure a follow postcard acted as a reminder. Each year Santa Clara residents continue to participate in SVP’s rebate programs.
Street Banners
Situation & Solution:
Outdoor advertising and street banners are an effective method to keep your brand and message visible, especially when delivering the message to a specific geographic audience. SVP street banners are used to reinforce energy efficiency, educate locals on rebate programs, and keep their brand in a positive light in customer’s minds.
Trumeta Company Launch
Situation & Solution:
Coming from high tech roots, this CEO knew his new company was onto something unique in the fencing industry. But he also recognized he’d have to change perceptions. Cintara was asked to help shape this company from the ground up. We worked closely with management using our brand strategy workshops and delivered a roadmap for marketing, sales and branding. We then worked to define the brand with a new name, Trumeta (True + Metal), logo, collateral, website and contractor portal. The result – expanded business, increased brand awareness, and increased sales by 85% in the first year.
